Katha or Kanta sarees are intricate embroideru sarees of West Bengal. This saree I bought , when I visited Kolkata. The border is half the length of the saree.

And the entire body has beautiful embroidery with simple running stitch and herringbone stitch.

The pallu also has similar design embroidered.
